Dear Friends,

Blessed 2020~!!

Stay posted on this site for my latest Open Studios, and shows.
And please read my BLOG to know my insights and inspirations!

Thank you for visiting,
Ann

Ann Metlay Art, a total art experience in two rooms. You come. You enter the gallery. It features the art of several artists. Paintings, abstract and landscape; Relatively realistic local creatures and swirling horses; colorful quilts; slab-built bases with mermaids and turtles. And Ann’s art, exuberant, organic, primitive masks, some large bowls and vases and other forms. One-of-a-kind.. The pieces, the paintings, they talk to one another.

Behind the door to the gallery, Ann’s studio. Abuzz with creativity. Wall hangings drying on top of a bureau. A mask hides behind its plastic cover. A half-formed bowl sits on a turn-table, a poem being carved into its surface. Scraps of paper lie around with more poems on them.

And Ann? Friendly. Clothes smeared with drying clay, eager to explain her process on a current piece of art, or to describe in full, the evolution of her entire gallery. Looking for a unique approach to art you will never see anywhere else? Want to see something truly local to the Verde Valley? Come on over!

Ann Metlay will be participating in the Affordable Art Show, March 14 at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds.

Paintings, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photographs and other art will be offered at prices under $100 at the Affordable Art Show on March 14 at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds. Art collectors in the Verde Valley will find an exciting opportunity to buy from local artists.

The show will be open between 10 and 6 at the Verde Valley Fair Grounds, near the Gem , Mineral and Health Fair. More than twenty artists will be offering their creations for less than $100 each.

Participants in Made in Clarkdale have organized this show to benefit high school student artists from all over Northern Arizona.  Their student art show will be hung at the Clubhouse in Clarkdale between April 30 and May 3.
